What a mess

One of Lily's favorite things to do is to get into the cabinet with all their movies and pull them all out. Most of the time she does it one by one inspecting each DVD. The first few times it was pretty funny but now it drives me crazy. I'm sure Granny can agree that all we do is clean up DVD's. She's still really cute while she's doing it though. What a toot.

Lots of pictures

Here are the pictures I've taken lately. Not too many of Em because she's anti-camera.

Lily and her favorite white bear on her 9 month birthday

Lily making her goofy face. (I love her little foot in the background)

Lily (with a big bump on her head) attacking Bella

When you ask Lily to make a silly face this is what she does. The more you laugh the more she keeps doing it. It's hillarious!

Lily was suppose to be sleeping and I went to check on her and this is what I found. It was so cute her feet we swinging away.

Granny got them matching pj's and I thought they looked so cute in them.

Lily just being cute.

Weekend adventures

This past week/weekend we were in DFW. I love going home so much but at the same time it's always nice to come back to our house. If we could just pick up our house and move it to DFW life would be great.
Casey had his annual dinner for the recruiting squadron. It was fun to get all dressed up but the dinner itself was kinda boring. While Casey was in meetings all day I went across the street to the Galleria to shop. It was so nice to be in an actual mall. I almost forgot was that was like. I got the girls their Christmas outfits at Children's place and had to force myself not to buy the whole entire store.
Friday night Casey took me to Texas De Brazil for doing so good in all my classes this semester. If I get dinners like that I'll be sure to make all A's every semester. Dinner was amazing, I haven't had a meal that good in a long time.
My mom watched the girls for us while we were in Dallas and I think she had a pretty good time with them. Lily was a little toot for her but Emilee was really good. This was the first time Lily was away from us and I think it kinda freaked her out. We picked her up Saturday morning and all day long she clung to me. I was the only one who could look at her, hold her or do anything for her. It was a very long day.
So all in all we had a really good weekend. I did however become the world's worst friend and forgot Katie's birthday. I reminded myself all week of her birthday and when it came down to it I forgot. So I know I already told you once but I owe you big time. HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY KATIE!!!!!

The ears, the staph and the rash.....

Well the past few days have been incredibly exciting in our house! Ok not really but they have been a little bit more crazy than normal. Wednesday Lily started running a 102 fever that would only go down with motrin or tylenol but would spike back up as soon as it wore off. At first I just thought it was teething but 102 is way to high for just teething. So first thing Thursday I called to get her an appointment and three hours later I finally get my appointment set up. I love not having to pay for insurance but at the same time I don't want my baby to suffer. So she ended up having an ear infection. We caught it pretty early so hopefully she'd start feeling better fast. After a miserable night with Lily on Thursday I woke up to find Emilee's ankle completely swollen and oozing. I know, gross. So finally after 2 hours of waiting for people to call me back I finally got her in to see the doctor. And yes my poor baby got a staph infection on her foot. I meant to take a picture of it but with all the kaos I forgot. It was so swollen you couldn't even see her ankle bone anymore. It was kinda reddish blue and really hot. The doctor called us in some strong medicine along with some cream. Both of which she gets three times a day.
So I finally start thinking that things are going to calm down. Well I bought Lily some different food yesterday when I went grocery shopping, she really seemed to like it except for the fact that she broke out in a horrible rash. We immediately stopped giving it to her but by that time it was all over. It didn't seem to bother her until about an hour after she went to sleep, she woke up screaming uncontrollably. At one point I thought she was going to pull her ears off, so I had no idea if it was from the rash or her ear infection. I called Katie and she calmed me down she told me to give her some benedryl. It helped. I'm not sure that it helped the rash but it atleast put her to sleep.
So it's been such an exhausting weekend. I'm so glad that Granny stayed the whole weekend, I probably would have lost my mind with out her. Oh and did I mention that I have 7 tests this week?!?!?! Well gotta go my fussy baby is crying again. And I think that this weekend has sealed the deal that we're only having 2 kids. I couldn't handle a fussy baby again.

Promise to post some pics soon....

Promised post

I'm finally getting around to the blog I promised about all the things going on lately. Acutally I still don't have time to write this I'm just procrastinating my school project. (which I'm great at, procrastinating not projects) It's been a few weeks now but I took Lily in for her 9 month check up and she's perfect. She was 19 lbs. 8 oz. and 27 in. (i think, it's been too long now). She's in the 57% for her weight and 58% for her height and 64% for her head. The doctor said she looked like she was getting plenty of food and pretty much just let her have what ever she'll eat, which is pretty much everything.
That next week she finally started crawling. She had been taking a few little shuffles but hadn't really shown any interest in crawling. I was taking some pictures of her and she thought she needed the camera and there ya go, she's been crawling ever since. She's pretty good about not getting into stuff but when she does and you tell her no she just looks at you and smiles. For now it's hilarious we'll see how I feel about that in a few more months. I love that big gummy smile.
We finally have one tooth!! Actually we have one very crooked tooth and three more on their way. So there's lots of drool and running noses lately. I try and take pictures but she doesn't let me get that close without attacking the camera.
Emilee has been back at mother's day out for a month now and is doing great. We haven't had any days of crying and screaming when she get's dropped off. Maybe she has finally outgrown that age!! THANK GOODNESS. But we've traded for lots of attitude and a bazillion questions. "Mommy why is it time for bed?" "Because it's dark outside" "Why is it dark outside?" "Because the sun went to bed" "Why did the sun go to bed?" "Because it was tired". You see how that goes. She can ask 100 questions in a matter of minutes. At first it was really cute but now it's a little annoying. I try and just answer her and change the subject but she usually will start it up again about other things. Sometimes it's pretty funny how long she'll go on.
Well that's our life lately nothing else really going on. Any suggestions on school and how not to loose my mind please let me know, I'm on the verge.

Tagged

The rules: List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, and 3 facts about yourself. Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog!

3 Joys:
1) Emilee and Lily
2) Family
3) Friends I don't know what I'd do without them.

3 Fears:
1) Tornados- I absolutely hate them and after our close encounter with one this spring I'm now terrified. I pretty much stay up until the storm is passed and I know it's safe to sleep
2) Not being able to see my girls grow up. I know this is a crazy thought but I can't even begin to imagine not seeing my girls with their own families.
3) Not passing school. Right now this is all I ever do, study, study, study. My brain hurts and I'd hate to be going through all of this just to fail.

3 Goals:
1) Be more patient with my kids. Emilee is at that stage that'll wear you out, I just need to remember she's only 3 and kids aren't perfect.
2) Learn to be a better student. I have diagnosed myself with ADD and I really want to work on focussing more while I'm studying.
3) Be better at taking pictures and videos of the girls. I am aweful about doing it and I just need to remember to more often. I love looking back at old pictures and videos when I was little and Emilee has started watching all her videos from when she was a baby.

3 Current obsessions/collections
1) Blogging - I'm completely obsessed with it. Mainly reading other peoples because I just don't feel like mine is very entertaining. I always think of stuff I need to write but I can never seem to find the time.
2) Losing weight but not actually wanting to try. I think about it all the time and really want to be skinny, I just can't force myself to change. I know I need to though.
3) Shopping. With me not working we really don't have the money. But everyday I can find something to waste some money on, even if it's a dollar, it makes me feel better just to buy it.

3 Facts about myself:
1) I am a full time student for the first time since high school.
2) I like eating M&M's that are a little bit melted.
3) I can't decide between two or three kids. I love being pregnant.
